After discovering flash fiction in 2016, I’ve had a few pieces published online and in print. I’ve created this space as a home for my work, not least so I can remember what I’ve written.

I live in Sheffield, UK, tucked away in a quiet corner bordering the Peak District with my wife and 1.91 children (apparently the baby boom is deflating).

No pets, apart from a bird that seems to have adopted our garden. It hunts for worms every morning and has a few feathers that stick up at a funny angle. We’ve named it Tufty.

The flash form is my main focus, although I’ve dabbled with short stories and, of course, there is a longer work in progress: a Middle Grade time travel adventure. I’m hoping to complete a draft by 2018 unless the twisty plot ties me in knots. We’ll see.

I’m more recently a reader for FlashBack Fiction — an online literary journal specifically dedicated to publishing historical flash. I work with a fantastic bunch of writers and flash enthusiasts, and it’s a great learning experience for me.

Anyway, feel free to look around. All I ask is that you leave the place tidy(ish), don’t eat all the biscuits, and put the key back under the plant pot after you leave.

Thanks for taking the time to visit.
